Mohinga (mun hang hka) is a rice noodle and fish soup from Myanmar, and is an essential part of Burmese cuisine. Some may even go to the extent of naming it Myanmar’s national dish! It’s the most popular breakfast dish of all, now available as an “all-day breakfast” in many towns and cities. There are not 1, not 2, but several types coming from several parts of the country. The most famous? Rakhine Mohinga which comes from Southern Myanmar. This has more fish paste and less noodle. But really, it all depends on the availability of the ingredients. The best part?
